Direct observation in the workplace, gathering work products to showcase your skills competence, Demonstrating your knowledge through assessment and reflective practice.
Compiling a portfolio of evidence
English and Math’s are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career.
It is not an Entry requirement to have Math’s or English qualifications, however there is an expectation that students must have a good level of Math’s and English to achieve this qualification.
There are no placement hours for this qualification.
You need to be in the role to collate evidence for your qualification:
You will need a workplace mentor.
Work with a minimum of two teachers/ assessors who are delivering a vocationally based subject.
We have several links to industry and partnerships … to ensure you gain an outstanding learning experience with us and are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to progress to a career in industry.
You will need to attend six, two-hour sessions.
Complete independent study of either 77-hours (IQA)
or 101-hours (Lead IQA),
Be observed in practice for either one-hour (IQA role)
or two-hour (Lead IQA role),
Undertake and record Your professional Development.
Have access to receive 1-1 support sessions.

The Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment processes and practice is designed for those who currently work or wish to work in the field of assessment and internal quality assurance. To support the Assessment and Quality Assurance of Teaching, Learning and Assessment.
The qualification provides recognition of your knowledge and competence of leading the internal quality assurance of assessment processes and practices.
You may already be employed as an internal quality assurer or in a supervisory role for a training provider, FE college or internal training department, or looking to progress leading a team of Teachers/Assessors. You could be working in a variety of sectors.
