Who is this course for?
This class is perfect for people who have never done a ballet class before. Or for people who did ballet as a child and would love to get back into it! There are lots of benefits to this course; exercise is one, but there’s also the social side. It’s a great way to make new friends. You must have an interest in movement and dance. The course is stress-free, fun and uplifting, perfect for all ages! Everyone will be encouraged to have a go.
What do you need to apply for the course?
Nor formal qualifications are required for this course.
What are the key things you'll learn?
You learn from the start, with an easy guide to how to use your body correctly. With a focus on posture that helps with every day life, self-confidence, hold positions, arm alignment and positions of the feet. Each week will differ slightly in terms of the dance style to keep the classes fresh & interesting for all participants. Recap sessions will be done throughout the 10-week course.
How you will learn
This class is designed to begin your understanding in ballet technique! Focusing on barre work, centre, moving across the floor turning and jumping. Each participant will be involved and take part in a practical group class.
What costs will you incur?
You will need to purchase a pair of soft ballet shoes.
