Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who has an interest in learning how to operate SAGE accounts software. It is an introduction to computerised bookkeeping and will suit business owners and those wishing to learn new skills.
This course has start dates in January and September.
What do you need to apply for the course?
Ideally you will be progressing from a manual qualification in bookkeeping or will have some prior bookkeeping experience.
You need Level 2 qualifications in literacy and numeracy and are able to demonstrate basic IT skills.
For students with English as a second language, you will need to provide IELTS certification.
What are the key things you'll learn?
The aims of the qualification are to help you:
- To create accounts
- Process accounting information
- Understand how to use batch control sheets
- Produce accounting reports
- Use spreadsheet software
How you will learn
You will attend classes for 3 hours per week. The course is predominantly classroom based.
You will be required to undertake some self-study in your own time.

Following successful completion of this programme, you may wish to progress to further vocational learning leading to an appropriate and relevant occupational qualification;
- Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounts
- AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
