Teaching will be delivered through seminars and workshops to develop your skills further in the game design industry. This will be through the completion of 3 long modules, giving students a chance to work on a big final project.
Your work will be assessed through the development of game assets and concept designs. You will also be assessed on your critical analysis and evaluation of your progress.
Through our partners, we will help students to get industry placements at certain times during the year.
Having enjoyed the benefit of NextGen industry links through the Level 4 and 5 Foundation Degree, we will continue this through Level 6.
Students will be required to attend full-time. This is 16 hours per week.
This time should be matched with further independent study.
The aim of the BA (Hons) Games Design and Production (Top Up) course is to provide learners who have studied at Level 4 and 5 with the opportunity to 'top up' the existing qualification to a full degree at Level 6. This is the equivalent of a third year at University.
The qualification is designed by industry and delivered through the University of Cumbria.
