The programme uses a face-to-face learning approach. The learning and teaching methods typically used by tutors include lectures, seminars, guest speakers, workshops, rehearsals, practical projects and tutorials.
A significant amount of personal study time is expected to be undertaken by you, comprising of preparing and learning musical material, background reading, assignment work, preparation for seminars, and practical case studies.
A social learning community including a peer support programme will further enhance this.
It is desirable that you have a Level 2 in English and Maths (e.g. GCSEs at grade 4 or above).

The programme is intended to develop your expertise in many facets of the modern music industry. There are also many valuable opportunities to develop in academic aspects through the consideration of various contextual and historical avenues.
Additionally, the programme appropriately balances industry-relevant topics with associated academic approaches to certain subjects.
