Make up and eye treatments are an exciting and evolving are of the beauty industry to be involved in.
Trends and fashions are changing all the time and qualified therapists are needed to deliver professional, high-end treatments to a range of clients in various settings.
Join our programme and take the first steps into the basics of the industry. Learn how to work with others, whilst developing excellent practical skills and professional behaviour.
You do not need to have any prior beauty therapy qualifications to start this course.
|You will be required to purchase a uniform and a kit when studying this course. You will be given the opportunity to take part in trips and visits, which may incur a cost. Funding may be available, and information will be provided at enrolment.
You will experience a range of teaching techniques, including hands on practical work in the salon and classroom-based activities.
You will be assessed by both formative and summative methods and awarded a pass, merit or distinction grade at the end of the course.
We have several links to industry that will complement the course content to ensure you gain an outstanding learning experience with us and are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to progress to a career in industry.
You will study 3 hours per week in college and will be expected to complete assignments outside of teaching/college hours.
This course will take place on Tuesday evenings between 5pm-8pm. Timetables will be issued at the start of term.
The aim of the course is for learners to develop skills and knowledge in basic make up application and eyelash and brow treatments.
You will study several modules as part of this course, including:
- Working in beauty related industries
- Follow health and safety in the salon
- Client care and communication in beauty related industries
- Applying make up
- Provide lash and brow treatments

This course will last for approximately 15 weeks.
You may choose to progress onto a full Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification.
There are several routes you could progress onto at the end of this qualification, which include:
– Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy
– Level 2 Certificate in Nail Technology
