Math's and English are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career.
If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Math's and/or English, we will support you to improve your skills and allow you to retake your GCSE's.
A work placement may be part of the qualification. This will be discussed upon starting the course.
We work with the following employers to help you gain real work skills:

- Specialist construction and building companies
There will be 13 timetabled hours on your main programme, with additionalities such as skills development, personal development and GCSE Math's and English (if applicable), taking the hours on the course to a possible 20 hrs.
Timetables are confirmed at the start of term.
The aim of the course is to prepare students to excel in their chosen craft and build on level 2 elements. It has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions, and the practical and knowledge tests are based on the learner showing what they can do as an individual through the completion of all the requirements of the qualification.
These are the units which are covered in the course:
Unit 301 - Principles of organising, planning and pricing construction work
Unit 302 - Repair and maintain masonry structures
Unit 303 - Constructing radial and battered brickwork
Unit 304 - Constructing decorative and reinforced brickwork
Unit 305 - Constructing fireplaces and chimneys
City & Guilds
You could apply for an apprenticeship, progress to a Higher National Certificate or gain relevant employment in the construction industry.
