This course is for anyone who wishes to build on their Level 2 qualification and work as a bricklayer. It has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions, and the test(s) are based on what you can do as an individual through the completion of all the requirements of the qualification.
You should have completed a Level 2 Technical Certificate in Bricklaying or a Llevel 2 Diploma in Bricklaying to apply for this course.

English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/or English at we will support you to improve your skills and allow you to retake your GCSE's.
There is a requirement for a 30-hour placement with a local employer.
We work with the following employers to help you gain real work skills:

- Specialist construction and building companies
Although your course will be full-time, it is expected that you would be willing to complete extra-curriculum activities, such as research.
There will be 13 timetabled on the main programme, with additionalities such as Skills Development, Personal Development and GCSE Maths and English (if applicable) taking the hours on the course to a possible 20 hrs.

The aim of the course is to prepare students to excel in their chosen craft. It has been specifically developed for delivery in a training environment using simulated conditions, and the practical and knowledge tests are based on the learner showing what they can do as an individual through the completion of all the requirements of the qualification.
Upon completion of the Level 3, you could advance onto a HNC in Construction and the Built Environment or start an apprenticeship.
