What’s it all about?

Do you dream of one day working in film, TV, radio, news broadcasting or as a content creator? If so, our new and exciting T Level in Media, Broadcast and Production could be for you. The course will give you a competitive edge within the media industry.

Come and study in our innovative, tailor made media building, which will give you a unique immersive learning experience, using industry recognised hardware and software that will give you first-hand experience as part of your first steps towards realising your career ambitions.

Please note that this course is for 16–18-year-old school leavers and has no costs attached to it.

You will need 4 GCSE's at grade 4-9 including English.

19+ please enquire It would be beneficial to purchase an SD card and an external hard drive as part of the course. There may also be opportunities for external trips and visits at times, which may incur some small additional costs.

You will be assessed through external assessments and an industry placement. Your placement will be embedded into your course and will allow you the opportunity to gain further insights into the industry, enhancing your skills, knowledge, and experience, which will help you stand out from the competition.

You will be required to complete an industrial placement of at least 315 hours (45 days).

The specialist aim for this course is content creation and production and will take place in our new specialist media building, which will include a purpose-built newsroom, film studio and radio studio. This course will give you well rounded skills that are essential in the media industry and will offer you many opportunities to develop your specialist interests.

What’s next?

This Level 3 qualification combines industry technical skills development with work experience, which will equip you for your first role within the industry, prepare you for university, or even for an apprenticeship in media.
