This course is for anyone who is looking for a career in electrical installation industry. You will learn how to wire lighting and power circuits with using a variety of cables, fixtures and tools, develop health and safety knowledge, electrical principles, basic fault diagnosis and testing and how to interpret wiring diagrams.
It is required that you have minimum of three a GCSEs at grade 4, including Maths and English.

You will learn through a combination of practical skills in the workshop and subject theory in the classroom.
English and Maths sessions will not be required, as entry conditions require a grade 4 in both subjects to enrol on the course.
A minimum of 30 hours work placement is required as part of this course.
Timetables are confirmed during enrolment. The course includes 12 hours of class time and is scheduled between Monday-Friday
The aim of this course is to bring the learner up to the standard of a first year apprentice.
