This course is for anyone aged 16-25 who would like to take proactive steps for their future development within education, the wider community and the workplace. The course we offer is a Level 1 Exploring Award/Certificate in Occupational Studies.
There are no required qualifications for this course.
You will need to be willing to participate in new subject areas, work out of your comfort zone, take part in all of the group activities and challenges, and be considerate and accepting towards the other members of the group.
Additionally, you will also be required to attend an off-site 3 day residential, enrol on the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and be involved in the continuous development of the Inner City Garden project.

Pathways is a diverse course where students will be taught using a range of teaching techniques, including classroom delivered sessions, interactive workshops, group activities and possibly some off-site teaching.
Throughout the course you will work through a series of modules, building up your portfolio of evidence. All evidence will be assessed through observations, presentations, photographs and completion of activities.
English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to maximise your achievement in your chosen studies, with the ultimate aim of you progressing on to your chosen career.
If you have not already achieved a grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.
The course will run over 4 consecutive days of study each week. Your timetable will be issued at the point of enrolment.

The Pathways Programme is designed to explore a number of vocational and academic subjects to support you in deciding your future career/vocational pathway, whilst gaining the literacy and numeracy skills needed for progression.
Your progression route may involve future study at college at the next level, undertaking an apprenticeship, or looking for full-time employment.
