Who is this course for?
This course is anyone who wants a career in the electrical installation industry.
What do you need to apply for the course?
It is preferred that you have a minimum of 2 grade C/4 with a grade 4 in Maths and grade 3 in GCSE English Language, or have successfully completed a suitable Level 1 course.
What are the key things you'll learn?
You will learn the following topics:
- How to wire lighting and power circuits with using a variety of cables, fixtures and tools.
- Health and safety
- Electrical principles
- Basic fault diagnosis and testing
- How to interpret wiring diagrams
How you will learn
You will learn through a combination of practical skills in the workshop and subject theory in the classroom.
Where could this course take you?
After successfully completing this course you could progress onto the Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures) Diploma Level 3.
What costs will you incur?
A fee of £20 is required prior to the start of the course to cover the cost of PPE.
