This course is for people who are interested in a career in welding within the manufacturing industries or who would like to upskill with a welding qualification.

You will need to show an interest in welding or engineering.

How you will learn
This course is taught with a mixture of classroom based theory and practical welding work.
Where could this course take you?
After completing this course you could progress to other areas of welding MMA (6002172X) and TIG (60021706) at level one or to a NVQ at Level 2 in welding / fabrication. You could also use the course as ‘off the job’ training and apply for apprenticeships in welding sector.
What costs will you incur?
The course cost £240 which can be funded if you meet the criteria for adult learning
You will be expected to buy your own PPE (Flame retardant overalls and safety boots) if purchase through the college the cost will be approx. £30
