Who is this course for?
This course is for people who are looking to work in a career in health care, social care or childcare.
This course is primarily for post-16 learners who want to continue their education and develop their skills for progression to further learning and, ultimately, to employment.
What do you need to apply for the course?
Three GCSEs at grade E or grade 2 including English.
What are the key things you'll learn?
You will develop pre-employability skills
and contextualised knowledge to allow you to progress to further learning and training and,

You will study units such as:
Supporting children’s learning though everyday experiences.
Making healthy snacks when caring for people.

How you will learn
Your course is taught through classroom learning and directed study. You will be assessed through course work which includes, presentations, reports and action plans.
Where could this course take you?
Learners can progress onto Level 2 health or childcare courses, subject to references from teaching staff.
