Motor vehicle students learnt about new automotive paints from a global industry leader.
Steve Brown, an expert from automotive refinishing company HP Body, visited Level 3 Accident Repair Paint students at the College’s City Campus to demonstrate how to mix and apply water-based paints.
Steve is a regular visitor to the College and ensures students are kept up-to-date with industry standards tools and equipment for the motor industry.
Global leader HP Body, is based in Greece and 90% of its production is exported to 75 countries across the world.
Bill Milestone, Motor Vehicle Lecturer at Sunderland College, said:
“HB Body has been working alongside the College for several years now. During this time, the company has delivered several masterclasses, from water-based paint to plastic repairs.
“Their continued support has enhanced the Accident Repair Paint programme to ensure our students gain the highest level of understanding and knowledge.”
A skills partnership between Nissan and Sunderland College that bridges the gap between education and the world of work has been launched.
