Sunderland College were recently invited to visit Urban Decay in Debenhams to take part in a workshop to develop their skillset.
The hair and media makeup students were taught new make-up trends, shown a variety of techniques they could take back to City Salon, which included how you would create a look for models on the catwalk.
After being shown various makeup techniques, the students were invited to be mock interviewed for a job on the make-up counter. This enabled the students gain a greater understanding of the interview process within Urban Decay, if a job arose they wanted to apply for. Urban Decay then provided feedback to the students and offered advice on where they could improve next time.
Sharon Smith, Sunderland College Lecturer said:
“The session was very inspiring for the students and gave them a taste of what it would be like to be interviewed and to work for Urban Decay.
