Second year business students spent a day at Moor House Adventure Centre to take part in a series of challenging team building activities.
Activities included archery, the Bomb Disposal, Loop Challenge, Nail Challenge and Walking the Plank. They were designed to encourage the students to develop their communication skills, manage risk intelligently, plan strategically and challenge themselves, and each other, in positive ways.
Dot Dixon, Business Lecturer at Sunderland College, said:
“It was a fantastic day out and a great experience for the students. They learnt how to break down barriers and work together as two teams. They also had to work with people they had never worked with before, be sensitive to other people’s needs and avoid conflict. Where there was conflict they had to work to overcome this.”
