Do you like animals? If you have a passion for animals and their welfare, a varied and exciting career within the animal management sector could be super rewarding! You can make a real difference to the lives of animals, including pets, working animals, livestock and wildlife.
You will need to have empathy and excellent communication skills. You will also need to have good time management and observation skills, be highly adaptable and be able to work well in a team.
You'll study these subjects full-time at Bede campus and transport will be provided to give you the opportunity to visit Kirkley Hall. Here you will have access to over 200 species of animals, an on-site working farms, farming machinary and equipment, as well as dog grooming parlours.
We work with the following employers to help you gain real work skills: Falconry Days, LK9, K9 Camp and Tail Wags Limited, Edinburgh Zoo, Great North Museum.
