Personal Tutor

When you start sixth form, you will be allocated a dedicated Personal Tutor. Your tutor will help you to settle in and be your first point of contact for any issues you may have.

Personal development

Sixth form students have weekly Self, Society and Skills sessions to boost your confidence, develop your skills, stay motivated and fulfil your unique potential.

Our Learning Support team are here for you. They can support you with a wide range of specialist services and equipment, which are tailored to your individual needs.You can contact the Learning Support and Intensive Support teams at any time on safeguarding@sunderlandcollege.ac.uk.

Mental health and wellbeing

Your mental health and wellbeing is important to us, and our dedicated Intensive Support team can help in various ways. These include wellbeing support groups, a college counselling service,  an online resource hub and connections with external services to help you get the support you need.

LGTBQ+ support

We are proud to be inclusive and embrace diversity. We offer specific LGBTQ+ support, including True Colours, our group where everyone feels values and has the freedom to be themselves.
