Stephen Hey, a consultant with over 20 experience promoting and marketing video games, visited the NextGen second year students to provide them with pointers on identifying a target audience for their games.
Stephen also gave them general tips for pitching their concept to an audience. The students used the information to structure their final project pitches, which were pitched to their classmates the following week.
Stephen returns every year to Sunderland College and the students gain a valuable insight into the industry.
Antony Cain, NextGen Lecturer at Sunderland College, said:
“Stephen’s masterclasses are always well received by students. His knowledge and experience of marketing games is invaluable. He makes students think about their projects from different perspectives and the results are obvious in the work following his visits.”
