The Sunderland Skills and Inclusion Project (SSIP) is delivered by University of Sunderland. The project is fully funded by the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund Programme, managed in Sunderland by Sunderland City Council on behalf of the Sunderland Partnership, and will run until March 2025
As a partner of the Sunderland Skills and Inclusion Programme, Sunderland College is working with local employers to provide training to help people to update their existing skills or learn new skills.
Sunderland College work with over 600 employers each year, from Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to global businesses, and across a wide range of industry sectors. Our offer ranges from apprenticeships, to recruitment support, long and short placement opportunities, short programmes to upskill staff, and higher education and higher apprenticeships.
We work alongside employers to shape our curriculum offer, to ensure that we achieve our strategic goal to deliver a careers focused curriculum. We have received many awards and accolades as a college that demonstrate the impact of our work.
