Sunderland College recently ran an afternoon STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) event with a range of activities aimed at students who are looking to progress onto higher education after completing their current studies.
A selection of workshops and talks took place across at the colleges Bede and City Campuses and was a chance for students to speak about the wide range of opportunities available to them as the progress through to higher education.
The event was open to all students and was a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths. Students benefited from guest speakers, workshops, and a range of stands and activities that spanned STEAM subjects, and allowed them to find out about subjects they may want to continue at the college with a festival atmosphere.
Andrew Rimmer, Sunderland College Higher Education Transitions Coordinator said:
“The FutureMe Team are proud of the range of quality speakers, activities and workshops we put on for our lovely students, and hope they enjoyed it as much as we did!”
Medical Mavericks who came in on the day to work with students and help them understand the amazing opportunities in the world of STEM added:
“We think you are all ace! Thanks for inviting us into your College!”
