This course is for adults (those who are 19 years of age or older) who want to study part-time and English is a second language.This course will help students improve their speaking and listening, writing and reading skills.
We offer a course for a range of abilities, from Pre-Entry to Level 2.
- Speaking and Listening courses start in September
- Writing courses start in January
- Reading courses start in May/April
Each ESOL student will attend an assessment interview day which will help to determine the ESOL level you will enrol on (from Pre-Entry level to Level 2).

Teaching starts with speaking and listening modules and then moves to writing then reading.
Classes are timetabled during the day and usually over 2 days.
Students are assessed through exams in each of the modules, including:
- Speaking and Listening
- Writing
- Reading
Students must attend each class and pass the exam to achieve each of the modules.

This course can help you gain nationally recognised ESOL qualifications. The course will also help you to gain employment in the UK or progress on to further study.
