Daniel described Sunderland College as empowering, motivating and challenging. While studying at the College, he organised charity events including a football match between staff and students. He now works as a Manager for a business start-up and will soon be relocating to London to work in the financial industry.
He said:
“What I liked best about the College was the amount of passion shown by individual teachers towards their students. They went above and beyond to engage us with the course outside of the typical syllabus, and to ensure that we had context as to what we were learning had value.
My favourite thing about the course was the manner in which the teachers facilitated traditional learning methods with guest speakers and clever alternative styles.
I found the facilities on campus to be a hive of positive activity.”
Daniel is now a Mathematics graduate and is currently a Manager at a technology start-up called Monzo. He has also enrolled onto a graduate scheme with Lloyds Banking Group in London.
