Adam described his time at Sunderland College as enlightening, expansive and excellent. He was a student ambassador at college events and also volunteered for the Biology Club. He gained a first class honours degree in Chemistry at Newcastle University and is now studying for a PhD.
He said:
“I decided to study at Sunderland College for two main reasons; the close proximity of the campus to my home and the enthusiastic staff.
The best thing about the college as a whole were the very talented and passionate teaching staff who knew their respective subjects very well and certainly know how to build enthusiasm in their students.”
The level of extra support offered by every lecturer was consistently high. It was comforting to know that if you needed extra help or needed to talk through a concept, they would be happy to help.”
Adam progressed to a Chemistry degree, where he achieved first class honours, and is now studying a PhD in Chemistry at Newcastle University. He also recently appeared on TV in University Challenge
