Chloe described her time at Sunderland College as great, industry-focused and practical.
A passionate advocate for encouraging girls to study engineering, Chloe was initially the only female in her engineering class. In 2019 she won Bronze BTEC Engineering Student of the Year at the prestigious BTEC Awards 2019.
Chloe said: “I’ve worked with my grandad fixing boats most of my life and to come to Sunderland College to study a course I love and be given the opportunity to take part in sail training with the Tall Ships has been incredible.
“My whole experience at Sunderland College has been brilliant. I’ve gained so much hands-on experience and chose my BTEC so I could really focus on Engineering, which is exactly what I’ve been able to do.”
Chloe progressed to the University of Lincoln to study Electrical Engineering.
