This course is for anyone who has an interest in learning how to record bookkeeping transactions. It is an introduction to basic bookkeeping principles and will suit business owners and those wishing to learn new skills.
You will study double entry bookkeeping for cash transactions within a business and develop knowledge of the role of a bookkeeper, accounting terminology and business documentation.
This is an introductory course to bookkeeping skills. Ideally you will have a good level of numeracy and literacy and basic I.T skills.

You will attend classes for 3 hours per week. The course is predominantly classroom based.
You will be required to undertake some self-study in your own time.
Following successful completion of this programme, you may wish to progress to further vocational learning leading to an appropriate and relevant occupational qualification; such as Level 1 Award in Computerised Accounts or Level 2 AAT Certificate in Accounting.
