What’s it all about?

The AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting Level 3 is designed for passionate individuals who have already completed the Level 2 AAT Certificate in Accounting and are eager to advance in the world of finance. This course offers a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of accounting principles, preparing you for a successful and rewarding career in the field.
You'll master essential skills such as complex bookkeeping, final accounts preparation, and cost accounting. The curriculum also covers advanced topics like indirect tax, spreadsheets for accounting, and ethics for accountants, ensuring you are well-equipped for real-world challenges. Our experienced tutors provide expert guidance and support, helping you gain the confidence and competence needed to excel. The blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application ensures you’re not just learning but truly understanding and applying accounting principles.

What do you need to apply for the course?

You will need a level 2 in Accounting including GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or the equivalent level 2 qualification.

All candidates will be interviewed before an offer is made.

How will you be assessed?

You will attend classes face to face. There are four computer-based assessments spread throughout the course.
You will be required to undertake a significant amount of self-study in your own time.

7-9 hours per week (including class time 6 hours).

Aims

The Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is a progression route in employment, accrediting the skills and knowledge required by employers. It can be a stepping-stone to further education, with students progressing onto the Level 4 Diploma for Professional Accounting Technicians. It is suited to students studying part-time alongside employment or to those already working in finance.
