This course is designed for people who may encounter electric/hybrid vehicles in routine maintenance. It also contains the knowledge and skills required to work safely around a vehicle that may have had damage to its high energy/electrical system.
This qualification offers individuals an introduction to this specialised industry sector, complimenting their current industry qualifications and experience, and will enable them to continue to work safely within their role.
No previous qualifications are required, but a general knowledge of vehicles is useful.

This course is suitable for anyone who might, in their day to day work, come into regular contact with Electric/Hybrid vehicles.
- Electric/hybrid vehicle system components and operation.
- Hazards surrounding electric/hybrid vehicles.
- How to reduce the risks to yourself and others when working on electric/hybrid vehicles.
- Safely preparing the vehicle when carrying routine maintenance.
Upon completing this course, students will have acquired the necessary skills to move forward and obtain a level 3 award in the repair and replacement of electric/hybrid vehicle systems
