What’s it all about?

Our Level 2 programme in Public Services offers an immersive entry into the world of uniformed services, blending theoretical knowledge with essential practical experiences. Designed for students passionate about roles in police, military, fire services, and more, this course focuses on developing crucial skills such as leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication. With our facilities and engaging modules, including fitness training and emergency response, students are well-prepared for their future careers, fostering a deep understanding and respect for the values and routines inherent in these crucial sectors.

You will need 2 GCSE's at grade 3-9.

You will also need to be medically fit without any condition that would prevent you from joining the uniformed services and be able to cope with the training elements of the course.

This qualification has been designed to provide highly specialist work-related knowledge and skills employers look for in a range of public services (police, Army, Navy, Air Force, paramedics, fire service etc), such as: communications; teamwork; leadership and problem solving.

Achieving a Grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English is important, but if you're not there yet, don’t worry! We provide supportive classes to help you meet these essential criteria. These subjects form the backbone of your educational toolkit, opening doors to further studies and exciting apprenticeships. Our sessions in Maths and English will equip you with the skills needed to thrive academically and professionally.

Placement opportunities are an integral part of our curriculum, designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and the professional world. These experiences enable students to apply theoretical knowledge to real workplace challenges, enhancing their academic learning with practical skills. What’s next?

Upon completing this Level 2 course, students can progress into higher education, such as a Level 3 Entry into Uniformed Services, or direct entry into careers within the uniformed services.
