You will be assessed by a mixture of portfolio coursework and exams.
You will complete two assessments in year 12 and two assessments in year 13. Each assessment is worth 25% of your overall grade.

The purpose of the Level 3 Applied Certificate in Criminology is to provide learners with an introduction to criminal justice and to give a context for humanities learning.
Together with other relevant qualifications, such as Law, Psychology and Sociology, it develops the understanding to support entry to higher education courses in the humanities sector.
Throughout this course, you will study the following modules:

- Crime Scene to Courtroom
- Crime and Punishment
After the completion of this course you can progress to further study at university and this could then lead to a career in industries such as teaching, social work, human resource management, journalism, youth work, police or a prison officer.
