What’s it all about?

Step into the fast-paced world of marketing with the T Level in Marketing – a dynamic, career-focused qualification designed for the next generation of creative thinkers. This two-year course combines classroom learning with real-world industry experience, equipping you with the skills to build brands, engage audiences, and shape the future of business.

You’ll explore market research, campaign planning, digital marketing, finance, and data analysis – all while gaining valuable work experience with leading employers. Whether you’re aiming for a career in advertising, social media, PR, or market analytics, this T Level places you firmly on the path to success.

You will need 5 GCSE's at grade 4-9 including Maths and English.

T Levels offer a route to further your career, whether you’re aiming for skilled employment, an apprenticeship, or higher education. Recognised by UCAS, these qualifications provide a valuable stepping stone to university studies. Each T Level is awarded UCAS points corresponding to its grade, enhancing your university application. To earn UCAS points, you must achieve at least a pass grade. The point allocations are as follows:

• Distinction* = 168 points
• Distinction = 144 points
• Merit = 120 points
• Pass = 96 points, C or above on the core
• Pass = 72 points, D or E on the core

Students will complete two core exams and one synoptic project in Year 1. In Year 2, during the specialism year, they will undertake an additional synoptic project to demonstrate their knowledge and practical skills.

Our T-Level courses combine classroom learning with hands-on industry experience, providing you with the skills and knowledge highly valued by employers. You'll spend 80% of your time on academic studies and 20% on a 45-day work placement, totalling over 315 hours of practical exposure. This balance ensures a comprehensive understanding of your field and enhances your professional skills.

You can arrange your own placement or use our student placement team's expertise. This mandatory component prepares you for real career challenges and opportunities as you transition from student to professional.

Develop core marketing knowledge and build a solid foundation in key principles, including branding, customer behaviour, market research, digital marketing, finance, and analytics.

What’s next?

On successful completion, students are well-prepared to enter a variety of marketing roles across diverse industries. Progression routes also include Higher Level Apprenticeships, offering the opportunity to gain practical experience while continuing professional development. Alternatively, students may choose to advance to Higher Education, pursuing degrees in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business and Marketing, or Communications, providing a strong platform for future specialist and leadership roles.
