Sunderland College offers a range of financial support options to help students cover the cost of their education. 

You could be eligible for help with transport costs, meals, kit and equipment costs, trips, childcare and bursaries.

You will be notified via email within 3 weeks of submitting your application form.

You will receive an award notification email, which will tell you what you have been awarded.

You may receive help with travel cost, course related cost, free college meals and childcare. What you have been awarded will be detailed in your award notification email.

We accept the following evidence to show household income:

  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit
  • Three consecutive pay slips
  • Most recent P60

Your childcare will be paid directly to your childcare provider on a monthly basis.
