Josh is currently a trainee quantity surveyor for Identity Consult. Alongside this, he is due to start studying for the Higher National Certificate (HNC) in construction and the built environment.
He described his time at Sunderland College as fun and character building.
He said: “I wanted to study something more practical and the construction industry is the best place for that; it’s an excellent career choice as the industry is expanding each day.
“I knew that Sunderland College had some of the best statistics for students so it made my decision a lot easier. A lot of my friends attended Sunderland College and I heard many great things about the lecturers and facilities.”
“The best thing about the course was gaining valuable information about the construction industry. The teaching materials the lecturers give you are excellent and provide you with everything you need and if you ever need more they are always there to help. They are also very passionate about students reaching their full potential
I’ve worked with my grandad fixing boats most of my life and to come to Sunderland College to study a course I love and be given the opportunity to take part in sail training with the Tall Ships has been incredible.
