Sunderland College has launched innovative ‘one-stop-shops’ to enhance students’ experience and support their journey towards a successful future.
Future Ready Hubs will be rolled out this Autumn, bringing together all the resources students may need during their time at college and beyond, whether this is the world of work or further study.
Available both in person and online, the hubs will offering a comprehensive range of services including award-winning careers guidance, counselling, support with studies and financial advice, which will all be tailored to their individual needs.
Located in key locations at Bede and City campuses and via the student intranet, Future Ready Hubs will become fully embedded into campus life by the end of the academic year. On campus hubs will include computer access and independent study areas.
Vikkie Morton, Vice Principal for Student Services and Community Engagement, said: “The primary goal of our Future Ready Hubs is to offer students a central and dynamic space that goes beyond traditional support centres.
“The hubs will be a blend of physical and digital resources, where students will find not just information, but a community of support staff who will advise and guide them – no matter what challenge our students face – to ensure they thrive.
“Whether they are seeking careers guidance, support with their learning, mastering new skills, improving their digital literacy or collaborating with their peers, our Future Ready Hubs will have it covered.”
