Sales Order Processor.

Receiving customer kitchen orders and adding the choices to the relevant job in a SOP programme.

I add colour choices and upgrades so that all the required parts will be ordered and manufactured to complete the kitchen.

I enjoy the challenge of working out new upgrades and layouts, and discovering more about the whole manufacturing and fitting of kitchens.

The opportunity to learn while being employed.

I wanted to change career, an apprenticeship offered the chance to gain experience in a new role and industry and the possibility of permanent employment.

I attending college for IT which was enjoyable. The whole experience has helped build my confidence and made me realise what I can achieve with determination.

The atmosphere was relaxed, the class size was small so help was always available.

I think apprenticeships are an excellent way to gain experience and qualifications so yes I would recommend.

Securing an apprenticeship as a mature person can be difficult.

I am aware the funding can differ depending on age and many companies will not even consider a mature learner and this can damage confidence.

I think this needs to be looked into and older people need to be encouraged that apprenticeships can be for them.
