There are no entry requirements for this course other than a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

A good level of kitchen skills would be desirable, alongside a keen interest in everything pastry.

The key topics you will cover on this course include hot and cold desserts and puddings, cakes, sponges and biscuits, paste products, and bread and fermented dough products.

You will study these four units to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviors you will need for your future career, whilst preparing and producing of a range of patisserie and confectionary dishes.

What’s next?

Upon completing this programme, students are well-positioned to launch their careers in the patisserie and confectionery industry or to continue their studies. Graduates often progress to advanced culinary courses to further hone their skills or directly enter professional kitchens.
