This course is for people who are looking to enter careers in a uniformed service such as Armed forces, Police, Fire and Rescue and Prison service.
You’ll need a minimum of two GCSEs at a grade 3 or above. If you do not meet the entry criteria for this Level 2 course then you can study our Level 1 in Sport and Public Services for 1 year and then progress to this level 2 course the following year.
You will also need to be medically fit without any condition that would prevent you from joining the uniformed services and be able to cope with the training elements of the course.

This qualification has been designed to provide highly specialist work-related knowledge and skills employers look for in a range of public services (police, Army, Navy, Air Force, paramedics, fire service etc), such as: communications; teamwork; leadership and problem solving.
English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/ or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.
Days and times of study are subject to change. Timetables are confirmed at the start of term and will be between the hours of 9am and 4pm across the week.

- Undertake Adventurous Activities
- Explore the Use of Telecommunication in the Uniformed Services
- Explore Volunteering and Volunteering Opportunities
After successfully completing the course you could go on to apply for jobs in the services or progress to our Level 3 programme.
