What’s it all about?

The AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting Level 3 is designed for passionate individuals who have already completed the Level 2 AAT Certificate in Accounting and are eager to advance in the world of finance. This course offers a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of accounting principles, preparing you for a successful and rewarding career in the field.

You'll master essential skills such as complex bookkeeping, final accounts preparation, and cost accounting. The curriculum also covers advanced topics like indirect tax, spreadsheets for accounting, and ethics for accountants, ensuring you are well-equipped for real-world challenges.

Our experienced tutors provide expert guidance and support, helping you gain the confidence and competence needed to excel. The blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application ensures you’re not just learning, but truly understanding and applying accounting principles.

Upon completion, you’ll be well-prepared to progress to the AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting Level 4 or step directly into a diverse range of accounting roles.

You must have a sound knowledge of bookkeeping principles to undertake the AAT Level 3 programme. Achievement of an AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting is advantageous but not essential.

You will attend classes for 6 hours per week, this can be 1 day per week or 2 evenings. The course is predominantly classroom based with five computer based assessments spread throughout the course.

You will be required to undertake a number of hours of self-study each week in your own time.

What’s next?

On completion of the course you can apply to the AAT to beome a licensed Bookkeeper. After successfully completing the course you could progress onto a Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting. You could expect to gain work in a number of accounting roles, which require an intermediate level qualification.
