19+ please enquire You will be required to purchase uniform and/or PPE when studying this course. Information will be provided at enrolment. You can choose to supply your own PPE or access the college suppliers. PPE will include: -Steel toe cap boots - Work trousers - T-shirt - High vis clothing You will be required to purchase your own stationery. Including notebooks, textbooks and a scientific calculator.

You will be taught using a range of teaching techniques, including practical and theory sessions to develop your understanding of electrical principles, and craft theory to meet industry standards.

You will be assessed by a combination of online, written and practical exams.

English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career.

If you have not already achieved a grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.

We have a number of links to industry to ensure you gain an outstanding learning experience with us and are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to progress to a career in industry.

You will study 6 hours per week in college.

This course is part time delivered on a Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6pm-9pm. Students will be expected to set time aside to study between sessions.

Timetables will be issued at the start of term.

The Level 3 qualification is aimed at those who have already completed the Level 2 qualification. This qualification is designed for those who wish to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the electrotechnology sector.

This can be used as a foundation to progress onto further qualifications that lead to becoming a fully qualified electrician, such as:

- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Technology
- Level 3 Electrotechnical apprenticeship qualification

What’s next?

You could progress to an HNC in building services engineering, or complete your training via an apprenticeship.
