The qualification are aimed at those who are working, or who wish to progress, in the areas of assessment and internal quality assurance. They underpin the effective Assessment and Quality Assurance of Apprenticeships and vocational qualifications. The qualification is designed to formally recognise competence in an occupational role to the expected standards, with a specific focus on individuals who are responsible for leading a team of internal quality assurance staff. It supports the development of leadership skills within quality assurance, enabling candidates to guide and manage others in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of assessment practices across their organisation.
You Must have a minimum of a level 3 Subject qualification.Advisable to hold GCSE or a Level 2 English and Maths Qualification, You must work/or have a placement in an educational provider in a job role Leading the internal Quality assurance process and practice, access to minimum of 2 assessors to be able to gather evidence for the qualification.
This qualification does not carry any UCAS points, but it could provide evidence for a personal statement.

Compiling a portfolio of evidence
English and Math’s are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career.
It is not an Entry requirement to have Math’s or English qualifications, however there is an expectation that students must have a good level of Math’s and English to achieve this qualification.

Work with a minimum of two teachers/ assessors who are delivering a vocationally based subject.

You will need to attend six, two-hour sessions.
Complete independent study of either 77-hours (IQA)

The NCFE Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and
Practice provides you with the knowledge and skills to lead a team of internal quality assurance staff who maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.
The qualification provides recognition of your knowledge and competence of leading the internal quality assurance of assessment processes and practices.
You may already be employed as an internal quality assurer or in a supervisory role for a training provider, FE college or internal training department, or looking to progress leading a team of quality assurers. You could be working in a variety of sectors.
Mandatory units
Unit 01 Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment (6 credits).
Unit 02 Internally assure the quality of assessment (6 credits).
Unit 03 Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility (5 credits).
