Who is this course for?

This course is for current gas fitters, heating engineers or plumbers that are looking to obtain a water regulations certificate.

What do you need to apply for the course?

You’ll need to have some knowledge of plumbing and the water industry.

What are the key things you'll learn?

This course is an intensive theoretical course which will cover the key areas in relation to WRAS/BPEC Water Regulations/Byelaws certificate and competency card as well as how to comply with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.

How you will learn

The course consists of two half days/ two evenings which covers both training and assessments. At the training session you will be issued with a home study pack which will assist you in completing your assessment approximately 3-4 weeks after training.

The final assessment is an open book multiple choice and written response theory assessment.

Where could this course take you?

After successful completion of the course you will be able to apply to your local water company to be an ‘approved contractor’ for water regulation purposes.  This means you can self-certify your plumbing work and be able to join the WRAS approved plumber’s scheme with this qualification, providing you hold other relevant certificates.

What costs will you incur?

The course costs £264 including lunch and refreshments and the home study pack covering all 12 modules with self-test packs.
