Glenn studied acting at Sunderland College. After gaining a master’s degree and working professionally as an actor, he now owns his own acting company in Dubai. He described his experience at college as enriching, supportive and ground breaking.

He said:
“I decided to study at Sunderland College because of the variety that the course offered, the support from the tutors and the options for further study after graduating.

The two year course offered me a vast amount of opportunities to grow and develop as a performer, along with the knowledge passed on from the various tutors. This gave me an advantage when I progressed to university.

For me, the best thing about the course was that it was mainly focused on performance and not course work. This is how all performing arts courses should be!

The campus was fully equipped with everything we needed; a fully functional theatre, tech equipment, costumes, music rooms and dressing rooms. Along with access to rehearsal spaces and sound recording facilities

I first became aware of Sunderland College through a youth group, ran by lecturers here! It was a great way to become familiar with the building and also to meet like-minded young actors!”

Glenn progressed to studying musical theatre and drama at university and then a master’s degree at drama school. He has worked professionally in theatre, film and TV in London and now lives in Dubai and owns a performance-based events company, in addition to teaching children singing and acting
