Trainee chefs from Sunderland College, based at the City Bistro, managed a stall at the Park Lane Christmas Market.
They tempted the public’s taste buds with their freshly made breads, pies, jams and chutneys.
It allowed the students to experience a real working market stall, which required planning, organisation, product development.
Rob Stewart, Curriculum Manager for Hospitality, Tourism and Engagement at Sunderland College, said:
“It was a great project to be involved with. It gave our students an additional element to consider and further brought the real world into their learning experience.”
