Your college interview is the next stage of your application process, after you have completed an application form. We need to make sure you know all about the course you will be studying with us and the commitment that’s required. It’s also an opportunity for you to get to know us better!
What will happen during my interview?
You will meet with one of our friendly tutors who teach on the course you have applied for. They will let you know all about the subject area and ask about your motivations, interests and hopes for the future, to make sure it’s the right course for you. It’s also a good opportunity for you to ask any questions, and to tell us why you want to study at Sunderland College.
What will happen after my interview?
Following your interview you will be given a conditional or an unconditional offer for the course you have applied for. A conditional offer means that you will have to achieve certain exam results in order to gain a place on the course. If we don’t think the course is right for you, we will talk you through your study options and next step.
Study as an apprenticeship
During your interview, we will let you know if the course you are applying for can be studied as an apprenticeship. Apprenticeships are a great way to get started in a new career! If you’re ready for work and are committed to studying, while training on-the-job, an apprenticeship could be the right choice for you!
