What’s it all about?

This programme will introduce you to the world of education and the opportunities available for working in this sector.

You will complete qualifications in Preparing to Work in Schools and Safeguarding in a Learning Environment. You will develop an understanding of the teaching and learning environment, including how to support the health, well-being and safety of children and young people.

Industry experts will share their knowledge and experience with you throughout the programme. Guaranteed interviews will be available for anyone looking for roles within education.

This course is a stepping stone into employment and further study, which will enable you to make a difference to children and young people when working in education.

This programme will be delivered fully online using Microsoft Teams.
Assessments will be completed electronically and submitted via our online platform.

An initial assessment for Maths and English will need to be completed prior to enrolment.

A basic level of Maths and English will be required for this programme, however, the education sector requires competency at Level 2 for these subjects.

EPNE Training are working in partnership with national employers in the sector.

Upon successful completion of the programme, all students will be eligible for a guaranteed interview for vacancies in their local area.

This is a 10 day, full-time, online course. Teaching will start daily at 9:30am with an expectation for students to complete work and assessments until 3:30pm.

9:30am - 3:30pm daily, across 10 days.

This programme will prepare students for working in the world of education. We will be working closely with employers and recruiters to support students to get into viable opportunities for work.

As part of the course, you will study modules including:

- Preparing to Work in Education
- Policies and Procedures and Understanding Curriculum
- Keeping Young People and Children Safe and Well
- Communicating with Children and Young People
- Safeguarding in a Learning Environment
- Cyberbullying
- Recognising Abuse
- Harassment and Bullying
- Mental Health Awareness

NCFE

Students must be 19+ years old and eligible to study in England.

All students must complete initial assessments for Maths and English via BKSB. An individual link will be sent prior to enrolment.

All students must attend an online information event, via Teams. Links will be sent following application.

All students must have access to a suitable device that allows them to access teaching sessions via Teams and complete assessments online.

What’s next?

All successful candidates will have a guaranteed interview with a national employer who has vacancies in the local area.

You could also progress to a Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning course.
