Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for anyone who wishes to gain employment within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
It is a suitable programme for those wishing to change career or support previous experience or employment following a career break.
What do you need to apply for the course?
To be eligible you must:
- Be 19 or over as of 31st August 2019
- Have lived in the European Union for the past three years
- Learners must reside in England
- NOT have done the course of interest before
There aren’t any specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification; however, it would be beneficial if learners are working at Level 1 in English in order to complete assignment and assessment tasks.
What are the key things you'll learn?
Employability Skills in Manufacturing and Engineering: Understanding Mindset – Identifying Processes and Procedures at work- Working in a Team – Health and Safety; Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development including manual dexterity training and development. The focus of the training will be around Standard Operating Procedures, following instructions and Five ‘s’ principles to give learners an insight into the industry.
Performing Engineering Operations: involves the skills and knowledge needed to do the job, ability to organise work and identify and prevent problems; based on national occupational standards, which the learner must meet to be competent in a particular task. This qualification will encourage an employee to value their contribution to the workplace, and it will develop their skills and potential.
