Who is this course for?
This course is for 16-18 year olds who want to pursue a career for themselves in the make-up industry.
What do you need to apply for the course?
A minimum of two GCSEs at grade 4 including English Language and preferably maths. You will also be required to complete a skills assessment at the start of the course.
What are the key things you'll learn?
This course covers the following areas of make-up
- Working in the beauty related industries
- Follow health and safety
- Apply Make-up
- Provide eye lash and brow treatments
- The Art photographic make up
- Body Art Design
- Apply skin tanning techniques
- The Art of colouring hair
Make and style a hair addition
How you will learn
You will learn through a variety of teaching methods including practical work in our purpose built fully operational salons using the latest equipment.
You will be assessed through a variety of techniques including an externally set knowledge end exam and an externally set synoptic end practical examination.
Where could this course take you?
There are career opportunities working as a make-up artist, in a salon, freelance, photographic studios and working as an in store Beauty Consultant.
You may also wish to progress onto a Level 3 Diploma in Hair media make up, Certificate in Beauty Therapy, Hairdressing or Barbering course.
