Performance students were given a special look behind the scenes of a multi award-winning West End production, Cabaret.

The students enjoyed drama and dance workshops with members of Cabaret’s company cast, a Q&A with Anita Harris and James Paterson, as well as a tour of the North East’s flagship theatre which shined a spotlight on the dazzling costumes and inventive props of Rufus Norris’ smash hit.

An evening viewing of the stunning performance, starring Eastenders and Celebrity Masterchef star John Partridge, brought down the curtain on the unique experience.

Lauren Robinson, Lecturer in Performance, said:

“It was absolutely fantastic to see our students working in collaboration with a multi award-winning production. They were fully immersed with the activities presented to them and displayed professionalism throughout.

“We strive to seek these opportunities for our students as it the type of activity that allows them to develop and gain an even greater understanding of the industry they are about to embark on.”
